Dr. Sadia Upright

Dr. Sadia Upright, is an esteemed professional in forensic psychology and therapeutic services. She holds a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology from Walden University, along with two Master's degrees from Liberty University in Human Services Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Upright is a credentialed victim advocate, board-certified clinical sexologist, sex therapist, and certified juvenile and adult sex offender therapist. She is also a PREPARE-ENRICH certified facilitator and EMDR trained. Dr. Upright has provided expert testimony in court and excels in forensic evaluations, including parental capacity, psychosexual, and competency assessments. She previously served as adjunct faculty at Pfeiffer University in the Marriage and Family Therapy Department and is currently an instructor at the International Institute of Clinical Sexology where she teaches Certified Sex Offender Treatment Program and serves as a Dissertation Chair.

Dr. Upright's clinical experience encompasses a wide range of mental health disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, anxiety, and more. She specializes in working with victims of sexual and violent crimes, adult survivors of childhood sexual trauma, and individuals with sex addictions. Her therapeutic approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theories, family systems theory, REBT, and a person-centered approach, allowing for tailored, client-specific care. Dr. Upright values a holistic approach to therapy, considering the biological, social, psychological, and spiritual needs of her clients, and emphasizes the integration of spiritual elements in the therapeutic process.

Dr. Upright is licensed to practice in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida.
